Thursday, December 5, 2013 7pm-9pm The Jung Center 5200 Montrose Blvd Houston, TX 77006 Fee: $20 ($15 Jung Center members) How can we authentically relate to others? The courageous heart is willing to love regardless of the conditions that are present. Whether a friend, family, or love relationship, the capacity to work with the difficulties that arise in relationship develops over time and involves working with barriers to real relating. When we see what is actually happening between two people and allow it to happen, the relationship potential becomes more real. We can see ourselves and other more as we are than as we want or expect them to be. The Diamond Approach®, developed by the renowned philosopher and teacher A.H. Almaas is a spiritual teaching taught in groups and to individuals in Texas and around the world. In this class, we will discuss the potential for relationship and what it means to be a student of this Approach. The presentation will include opportunities for experiential learning, personal inquiry, and group discussion. Teacher: Mike Boone is a teacher in the Ridhwan School, home of the Diamond Approach, a spiritual teaching devoted to realizing our full human potential. He has been involved in the Diamond Approach since 1981 and teaches in groups located in Boulder, Houston, and Italy. Feel free to come to any one, some or all sessions. Following is a little about this teaching and the teacher who is presenting: Our soul
longs to find its way home to what is real and true in us in a complete way. This then engages not just our mind and our heart but, importantly, also our body. The Diamond Approach® recognizes the importance of the body through its primary practice of inquiry as well as meditation, breath work and movement practices. In this teaching, we will explore: What is the reality of the body? What is the body’s relationship to the soul and our spiritual journey? Through experiential exercises, we will begin to see that our body reveals the truth, exposing our unconscious beliefs reflected in our body image, posture, and attitudes we hold toward our body and our self. We begin to understand that living a real life is not separate from embodying essential presence. Rick Gaines has been a student of Hameed Ali and the Diamond Approach since 1984 and completed thirteen years of teacher training in 1999 to become an ordained teacher of that work. As a member of the teaching staff of the Ridhwan Foundation, he has taught the Diamond Approach to individuals and groups locally, out-of-state and overseas. This offering is open to the public. A $5 love offering is suggested. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please contact Annette Anderson at AndersonAnnetteS@aol.com or 214-660-4278 if you plan to attend.
Soul Without Shame: Exploring the Nature of Self-Judgment
March 22-24, 2013
Friday: 7pm – 10pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 6pm
Hilton – Houston Plaza
6633 Travis St.
Houston, TX 77030
The judge, superego, or inner critic shapes and limits our daily life. This psychic entity, which praises, accuses, promises, and threatens, is forever looking over our shoulder to see if we measure up. Invading our relationships and undermining our self-esteem, self-judgment is also the primary force interfering with our personal spiritual work.
This workshop will begin to directly address the inner judge using principles of the Diamond Approach®. Through embodied awareness (to support presence) and open-ended inquiry (to bring about understanding), we will learn to recognize and confront the assumptions and principles that keep self-judgment in place. We will cultivate aspects of our true nature that antidote self judgment: compassion, will, and strength. Most important, we will practice disengaging from the judgment process through understanding and deliberate action.
The sessions will include meditation, lecture, discussion, and experiential/movement exercises. The work shop is open to everyone with an interest in and a willingness to confront habitual patterns of self-attack. Bring your courage, compassion, and curiosity.

Byron Brown has been a certified Ridhwan teacher since 1990. He leads groups, works with individuals, and trains teachers in the Ridhwan School. Just as we need a mirror to see our own face, there are aspects of our true self that we can only come to know when they are reflected to us by another. Now you can experience two exceptional spiritual teachers as they engage in a dialogue about the power of sacred relationship as a vehicle for discovery and transformation with Conscious Love: The Power of Revelation. A.H. Almaas, creator of The Diamond Approach, and Cynthia Bourgeault, an Episcopalian priest and author of Centering Prayer and Inner Awakening, meet for the first time to explore how certain forms of human relationship can function as conduits to the secrets of Being. Join them to explore:
- What happens when spiritual illumination is the basis of a relationship
- How love pulls us into the intrinsic, underlying collectivity beyond our perceived separateness
- Union: how two souls become one in conscious love
- How relationships can both express illumination and reveal further awakening
- Intimacy and unity in friendships, teacher-student relationships, and marriages
- Uncovering selfless, unconditional, divine love
- Invoking divine presence within our relationships and communities
Almaas and Bourgeault guide us into the state of consciousness beyond separateness, an underlying union unlimited by the boundaries of space and time.

Soul Unfolding – The Work of Being Real & Living a Real Life
January 19 & 20, 2013
8367 Santa Clara Drive, Dallas, TX 75218
Embarking on any true path is not separate from learning to be real, learning to be yourself, and learning to live a real life. The alternative is to continue to live on the surface of life constrained to our familiar sense of self in consensus reality, the world of lies.
This endeavor to live a real life is not easy, it demands real effort, requiring us to uncover our soul’s true strength and steadfast determination. These qualities are essential in order to be open to the truth of who we are and to live our life accordingly. Being real is not easy, there is no easy way. A real life is not the result of doing spiritual work, it IS the work. We need to activate our inherent strength and will to engage our real life.
Teacher
Rick Gaines has been a student of Hameed Ali and the Diamond Approach since 1984 and completed thirteen years of teacher training in 1999 to become an ordained teacher of that work. As a member of the teaching staff of the Ridhwan Foundation, he has taught the Diamond Approach to individuals and groups locally, out-of-state and overseas.
Teachings
The Diamond Approach®, a contemporary path of spiritual development, is a powerful and effective spiritual path for self-realization and self-actualization. This path arose out of an objective need, available to anyone who aspires to recog-nize their True Nature and to actually live that realization of True Nature in our modern Western society. It was intro-duced and developed by Hameed Ali (writing under the pen-name A.H. Almaas) over the past 35 years. It is a living, evolving teaching.

I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life – Part 2: Dallas
DVD Showing – Part 2 Thursday, December 18, 2012 7pm
8367 Santa Clara Dr, Dallas TX 75218
“From the beginning of our spiritual work there is something deeper, some deep intelligence, some profound intelligence that underlies all of our human existence, in fact all of existence, that is working to reveal itself. There is a force, there is an intelligence, there is a consciousness, a dynamic, living intelligence who is inherently functioning in such a way to reveal itself. And it appears to us as our interest in liberation. It appears to us as our interest and dedication. It appears to us as the interest in practice or spiritual work. And when the insights happen, we might own them. We think, “I got the insight”, when in fact it is this force that has simply managed to get through, with a burst of light and insight.”
Almaas explores this mystery through teaching and inquiry held at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, California in January, 2012. Join in this exploration of mystery with A. H. Almaas, and experience his passionate love in this process of inquiry in presence.
Please contact Annette Anderson at AndersonAnnetteS@aol.com if you plan to attend.
